Ford Intelligent Backup Power is an F-150 Lightning feature that activates when the electric truck is connected to your home’s 80-amp Ford Charge Station Pro. The F-150 Lightning Extended Range model can power a home for up to 10 days when power is rationed.
Leave it to the Blue Oval to get the most utility out of its first electric pickup truck. Ford CEO Jim Farley even joked that the F-150 Lightning could charge Teslas, insinuating that Ford’s EV is superior. It’s too early to tell whether or not the F-150 Lightning is a better electric vehicle than popular Tesla models. One thing is for certain.
